Who is Testing the Testers?

No matter if you are operating a pet crematorium, a manufacturer of meat pies or work in heavy industry – the output of vents, stacks and chimneys has to be monitored to ensure it complies with industry and environmental standards.  Scientifics is number one in the market.  Not just because of our outstanding track record – but because we meet our own industry standards.

The work we do is extremely complicated, and is tightly regulated, as Scientifics has to be MCERTS accredited, as a company, and all our staff must be MCERTS certified at the appropriate level.  This means that we have to spend a great deal of time and money getting our staff through their MCERTS exams, however, it does, to an extent, stop cowboy operators entering the market.  Our own experts have to access process plant structures, towers, exhaust stacks, building roofs and various industrial environments, by ascending ladders, staircases and platforms. 

These structures must be “Safe to Climb,” in order to ensure the health and safety of both Scientifics’ employees and those who work at their customers’ sites.  So, we have an agreement with FDT Associates Limited, the leading engineering consultancy, where their two-man team of qualified engineers will inspect, report and certify these structures as “Safe to Climb”, in accordance with the Work At Height Regulations 2005, and the requirements of MCERTS.  So, the secret is to let us worry about all your compliance issues and we will provide you with a top level service.
